Challenge
There is no centralised place to show how many slots/offerings are available, students placed, slots(availabilities) offered, the overall health of the student batches and how many offerings from clinics are still needed
Universities do not know where to go and navigate after they complete a task, for eg: After placing a student in a clinic, what are the next to-do activities that a coordinator needs to achieve?
Per rotation/schedule, how much progress has been made between availability and placement of the student, are they any hurdle, before and during rotation/schedule
Program requirements are met based on schedule setup and student’s placement for an availability
Are the students medically clear before joining the clinic?
Solution
The following is an elegant and clear example of how complicated data from many different clinic offerings, students' interest for a clinic, and university course requirement as per curriculum schedule can be organised into a simple dashboard. Research shows more conversations between clinics and university coordinators can lead to increased tenure in the contract as well as the placement of students. Therefore, we designed this dashboard to drive more conversations, and increased engagement, between clinics, students, and university coordinators. This dashboard identifies important conversations from the student batch level down to each schedule.
Highlights
The Overview widget provides overall stats of students registered for a course, slot available, and student's placed so that the university can take quick action.
Requirements overview is a set of expected courses that every student in a batch must complete. The widget indicates the number of additional availabilities required for a course so that all students can be placed.
The Schedules is a timeline view show statistics on students who are placed as per clinic availability along with information of students who are compliant/non-compliant along with any outstanding contract expiring between university and clinics. Coordinators do not remember what next needs to be done and the tasks will help the users to complete the pending tasks.
